Extra post - Prima July PPP

Sorry, it's me again! now with my Prima July PPP.

First the inspo photo;

2013 July PPP

and then my take, which is in a different size, A4 than I normally work with. I'll let the photos speak for themselves.

Photo is by my very special Finnish photographer. A very common view during summer in Scandinavia - rain! Our summer is so short, and most of it just rains away.

Not only do I have two blogposts today, I'll be back again on 1 July - then with the OUAS August challenge!

Thank you so so much for your time! xoxox Eila

Extra post - PRIMA BAP JULY 2013

Hello on this rainy Tuesday!

I was supposed to do something that requires sunshine, so when I heard yesterday evening that the weather forecast predicted rain for today, I changed my plans. Instead I started on the Prima July BAP which I would not otherwise have been able to do this month either.

First the lovely sketch;

 2013 July BAP

and then my take;

As you know I've been moving around my stash lately and of course I found some older Prima papers that I combined with one of the newer collections.

Here I have used going from bottom and up;

Sunset Sunrise (green with lace)
Fairy Belle (blue patterned)
Sunset Sunrise again
Londonderry
Romantique
This little fellow is not one of our furbabies, he is the new family member of the Finnish photographer whose photos I am allowed to use in my scrapbooking. May I introduce Mr Bigge! cute huh

I also found some Dusty Attic chipboard, this corner flourish that I've layered under the fussy-cut blooms from Prima's "Romantique".

I will share my Prima July PPP in a separate blogpost today.

Cheers! xoxox Eila

So a short post today to share my Prima JUNE PPP and some cards.

First the PPP, which is an 8 x 8 canvas.

July purge = give-away!

Hello hello!

Summer is progressing rapidly and a sign of me getting near that point when I can say I am relaxed, is when I wake up one morning feeling a dire need to PURGE my stash! As I've mentioned many times before, we live in a city flat and I have my itty nook in the corner of the spare room that is far too small to even be called a study. That's where we have all our closets too, so NO wall space whatsoever, everything is piled up in IKEA boxes. I also have a pile of papers that is at least 1,5 m tall ... do you think I will ever use them all?!

Aaanyhow, you might guess that I have a substantial stash of flowers too. Many of them without their original packaging and others with one flower missing from the packaging. I also have packages of buttons, brads, stickers, dimensional stickers, bundles of ribbons and more that I don't use.

I am really so happy to send these unused or partly used products from my first day of purging to anyone anywhere in the world if they come to better use.

I have divided the give-away in 3 lots:

The 1st contains this:

8 packages of Prima and 1 package of Zva Creative blooms + 2 bundles of seam binding + 1 pack of ribbons/lace

plus 7 packs of MME brads and 2 packs of MME buttons

The 2nd contains this;

Kaiser Craft "Devonshire" alpha stickers + stickers + rubons

 plus 2 packs of Crate buttons and 2 packs of brads + 1 pack of Crate dimensional stickers.

plus over 20 different ribbons and lace

plus BoBunny dimensional stickers

plus 3 sheets of Melissa Frances stickers

The 3rd give-away is a pizza box full of miscellaneous loose blooms, mainly older Prima ones

The only thing you have to do is to leave a comment here telling me which of the 3 give-aways you are interested in. I will then pull a name from each category. Please do remember many of the packages are openened!

My give-away closes on 1 August 2013 at midnight CET.

I will announce the 3 winners on 2 August.

Now some well deserved coffee!

Todelipip! xoxo Eila

Skissedilla July challenge - "Summer Sweet"

Hello there!

Another week has gone by. I am still working my way to blogs, don't give up if I didn't quite make it to yours last week. I'm on my way!

A nap in the afternoon, a glass of wine when the evening gets cooler, easy cooking and just relaxing. That's what else I've been doing this passed week.

Another week to go before August knocks on the door, which also means there is a whole week to play along with the Skissedilla July challenge if you like. Here's the sketch to start with;

I flipped it 90 degrees to the right. This is "Summer Sweet";

Not easy to see but the background is made entirely of modpodged and gessoed strips of paper from Authentique's "Grace" collection. Masking and acrylic paint in teal, yellow and lime green.

I used a left over section from the Blue Fern Studios chipboard  Lattice Fence under the bottom cluster.

In the top cluster I used the Blue Fern Studios chipboard Blooming Foliage.

Thank you so much for taking the time to come for a visit. You know I appreciate it enormously and love reading your comments. I will be back next Saturday with my take on the Prima JUNE PPP and a couple of cards. Unfortunately I didn't have time to make anything for the BAP this time.

Take care, be good! xoxoxo Eila

Second take on Scrap Around The World July challenge - "A Most Delightful Lady"

Hello hello!

Hope you are all enjoying summer or autumn wherever you are on our good Mother Earth. A week has already passed of my summer hols and life has taken a leisurely pace, love it!

As I mentioned in my previous blogpost, I made a second page based on the SATW July challenge. This time in other colours and with a more free interpretation of the moodboard and sketch.

Here it is - "A Most Delightful Lady";

Papers used on this one, going from bottom and up;

Swedihs Pion Design "Vintage Garden" (brown)
Swedish Pion Design "Vintage Garden" (stripey)
Prima "Pixie Glen" (pink)
Prima "Romantique" (green with tiny roses)
Prima "Divine"
and then the matting in Pion Design again.

 The chipboard title is from one of Blue Fern Studios' word sets.

This is truly a most delightful lady. Her name is Mrs Brigitte Grenfeldt and she is a gold medal award winning portrait photographer who lives in Stockholm. Her work is exquisite!

This photo was taken by another photographer, Ms Kate Gabor.

The fussy-cut rose trellis is from KaiserCraft.

Background of masking and misting, painting in Lindy's Stampgang's Saltwater Taffy (pale pink) and Twinkling H2O Gold. Very subtle again. Tim Holtz filmstrip and more Prima goodies.

Melissa Frances bling and Blue Fern Studios Symphony Corners - Medium. I painted the chippie in white acrylic paint and touched up in gold dito before tracing them in liquid pearls in pink. Looks kind of cool IRL and has a beautiful lustre.

This is a VERY heavy page.

Thank you so much for taking the time to come for a visit. I am working my way to many many blogs at the moment to make up for my absence during May and June. Thank you so much for not giving up on me!

See you next Saturday if you want to. I'll share my take on the Skissedilla July challenge then. Take care!
