February Scrap Around The World - Born to Soar

Another glorious weekend and loooots of sunshine! happy happy again!

Did some more stashraiding and to my surprise I found some Authentique papers I had forgotten all about. Perfect for the February Scrap Around the World challenge!

I was inspired by the photo of the flowing beautiful curls and the big creamy yellow bloom, as well as the general dreamy feel. My take has none of the predominant green but it's still inspired by the verdure of the moodboard.

Here it is - Born to Soar!

This young lady has the most beautiful blond hair.
Just look at those eyes!

Authentique Harmony collection:
Beauty, Zest, Growth and Creation papers.

All blooms, beads and embellies are from my box of
Prima stash.

Mists used are Tattered Angels Mint Chocolat Chip
Chalkboard, Autumn Nights, Trunk Bay and Sweet Clover
Glimmer Mists.

Have something created just for me almost finished on my desk.
Will share it with you in my next blog post.

Till then, toodelipip! xoxo Eila

February Prima PPP - Your Laughter

Hello hello!

There is something different about the morning light now, the hint of spring is in the air. Even the bird song sounds different, happy just like me with the longer days.

My boss is going away on a business around Europe that will take him 2 weeks so there has been lots of planning to coordinate his itinerary. Looking forward to a slower pace and some impromptu me time.

Anyhow, had myself some creative time during the weekend and finished my take on the February Prima PPP. I so wish the new releases had hit the stores over here but alas.

First the moodboard;

Primaproductpick_feb2015

And my take on it - Your Laughter;

Papers used on it are all from the Fairy Rhymes Collection;
Violet, Papillon, Periwinkle and Caladee papers.
I also used a paper from the Seashore collection.

 Some stamping, stencilling and misting.

Raided my stash of loose Prima flowers and embellies. Being
a good girl here so that I can splash out on some new stuff soon.
The chippies are from the Fairy Rhymes collection.

The wood icon "Special" lay loose in a box so I'm afraid I
don't know which collection it is from.

Thanks a bunch for popping in! I really appreciate it.

Till next time - ta ta!

SATW January challenge - That Smile

Hello hello!

So annoying that it was such a dark day yesterday. The light just disappeared so I never had a chance to photograph the layout I had created for the SATW January challenge before it got completely dark.

Even if I missed the deadline, I thought I'd share the page with you. First the mood board.

I was inspired by the shabbiness of the whole moodboard.
The wooden planks in the bottom left photo, the washed out colours,
the bands around the flower pot with the flaking bits almost
like patterns, the piece of lace trim hanging from the chain
holding the pocket watch and chubby pale pink roses
of course.
All the ingredients I love!

And here is my take on it - "That Smile"

As with all soft colours, they don't photograph well at all.
I went for a dusty pale pink, white, gray, mauve and
gray-blue colour palette.

Papers used are counting from bottom and up Prima
Stationer's Desk, Lyrique and Delight
collections.
A couple of snippets from a Tilda paper
pack from last year (pink ditsy and blue polka dot).

I die-cut larger snowflakes from vellum and layered with fussy-cut
blooms and die-cut itty bitty snowflakes.

Loose resins, chibboard, flowers, leaves, alphas,
lace and other bits and bobs from
my Prima stash.

Color Bloom Sprays used in Pearl White, Candy Cotton,
Storm Cloud and Pressed Petal.

Prima Art Sugar in white and Prima mica flakes in Frosted
to add shimmer and this page really DOES shimmer
IRL!

Et voilà!

Thank you so much for taking the time
to come by, I really appreciate it.

Cheerio! xoxo Eila
